This is a view of the elevator rib in the metal shrinker. Be very careful when using the shrinker because if you shrink the metal too much, it will pull the bottom of the piece up like the nose on a ski. Do just a little at a time until you get it the way you need it. This tool will bring you true happiness ~~ joy will be found. *smiles*

When you shrink the flanges to remove the ripples you end up with no problems on your rivet spacing. However, if you use fluting pliers to do this you have to be very careful as to where the flutes are, or they will end up with a rivet where the flute is. This will NOT bring joy or true happiness.
