When JASC did a survey to find out just what Paint Shop Pro users wanted, 48% replied that they wanted a Paint Shop Pro that was easier to use. JASC does listen to their users and have created the PSP Studio which allows you to do editing on your photos, create graphics, add text, and not have to worry about learning the more advanced tools.

I have been working with the Public Beta version of PSP Studio and having worked with over 1,000 students at the PSP Classroom I really think that PSP Studio is a wonderful addition to the JASC family. I have had so many students that get frustrated because there is SO much to learn and they just want to be able to do the basics of the program.

I have been asked several times, “What does PSP Studio have that isn’t in PSP9?” Studio doesn’t have anything that isn’t in PSP9, however, that are a lot of things that are in PSP9 that are not included in PSP Studio. What is PSP Studio? PSP Studio is a condensed version of PSP9. It really depends on what you want to work with in PSP.

In PSP Studio you don’t have all of the toolbars and palettes that are available in other versions, however, you do have what is necessary for you to create and fix up your photographs optimally. You can create 3D effects, make your own tubes using the Background Eraser, correct red eye, correct over and under exposed areas to a photograph and you can also restore old photos you have stored away. You can even work with Vectors if you wish to ~smiles~. With PSP Studio you can do this, and more, for under $70.00 (US funds) or you can get the boxed version for under $80.00.
