Step 9:
Time to add some eyes. Set your foreground to NULL and your background
to white. Add a new layer, name it outer eye. Using your preset shapes,
draw a white circle on the left side of your face where you would
like his eye. You can either add a cutout now or EyeCandy 4 Glass
if you have it. Select All and Float (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+F). Go to Effects-->3D-->Cutout
and add the following settings:

I used the Glass from Eye Candy 4. Under Settings
I selected Clear Glass and changed the Color to light gray.

Save. Add a new layer, name it inner eye. Change
your background color to Black. With your preset shapes draw a black
circle inside your white outer eye. Go to Effects-->3D-->Inner
Bevel and apply the Round preset that comes with PSP. We want to merge
your inner eye and outer eye now. Go to your layer palette and close
all layers except the inner eye and outer eye. Make sure you are on
the outer eye and go to Layers-->Merge-->Merge Visible. Rename
this layer eyes. Go to Edit-->Copy. Edit-->Paste-->As New
Selection and use your mover tool to place your second eye. When you
are satisfied, deselect and save.

Step 10:
Add a new layer, name it brows. I used a brown color for his eyebrows,
#A47818. Set your background to NULL and your foreground the color
you want for his brows. Use your draw tool, set at freehand, width
of 4. Draw 2 eyebrows above his eyes. When Suz saw the preview, she
suggested making the brows bushier. Of course feel free to do so if
you would like.
Step 11:
Go to your layer palette and close layer1. Activate the top layer
and Merge Visible. Rename your merged layer head.
Step 12:
I know you have been wondering WHEN are we going to use the preset
heart shape that we made! Well, now is the time. :-) Activate layer1,
add a new layer and name it ear. Open your preset shapes and find
the shape that you made. Check Retain Style. This will keep your heart
the same color that you made it.

Draw out a small heart. Go to Images-->Flip. With
your mover tool, move the your heart to the left of the head, with
part of the heart under the head.

Go to Effects-->Noise and use the same settings
as before. Go to Effects-->3D--Inner Bevel and add the following
settings:

Go to Effects-->3D-->Drop Shadow and add the
following settings:

Go to Images-->Rotate. Rotate your ear to the
right, 25 degrees.

Step 13:
Go to Layers-->Duplicate. Images-->Mirror. Now you have an ear
on each side.
Step 14:
Add a new layer, name it mouth. Using your preset shapes, draw a large
heart below the head.

With your mover tool, move your heart up under the
head like the example below:

Apply your Noise, Inner Bevel and Drop Shadow. Save.
Step 15:
We're almost done! Add a new layer. Change your foreground to NULL
and your background to Red. Open your preset shapes and UNcheck the
retain styles. Draw a small red heart and move it up under the head
so a little piece is sticking out. Add the drop shadow, but change
the horizontal and vertical to 0.

We now have our basic Horace Hog made. If you like
you can add a tuft of hair or whatever you would like. You could always
make Horace as Henrietta by adding eyelashes. The possibilities are
endless.
When you are done with your decorating you can add
a background and/or frame, merge all layers and export it as a tube
or save it as a gif. You will probably want to resize your creation
before sending it to your groups if they are using this tutorial as
a lesson. If you aren't familiar with resizing and sharpening please
view my resizing tutorial HERE.
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial as much as
I did creating it for you. A special thank you to my tutorial testers,
Suz, Suecat, Beckie, Elkay, Terri and Randie.
Vera, one of the gals in the PSP Magic group, sent
in her rendition of Horace Hog and I just had to share it with the
rest of you. She not only did the face but continued on and made the
whole hog and gave Horace some brothers! Thank you Vera for letting
me share this on the site.
