CAPTURED SOUL

Anthony, from Titan PSP, is the original creator of the Captured Soul tutorial. When I wrote my tutorial, Sinedots Trapped Soul, I directed people to Anthony's tutorial if they wanted to make their own Soul. Anthony has now removed that tutorial from his site and has been kind enough to send me the zip file and allow me to put HIS tutorial up on Moon's Designs. Thank you so much Anthony!

Anthony's format is a bit different than mine, but I didn't want to change his style.

Requirements for this Tutorial are PSP5,6 or 7
And these Tubes I have for You to download.

They are in .zip format Download and unzip to your tubes folder.

I did not make these tubes myself. I don't remember where I got them but if the original authors will let me know I will give full credit to them or take them down..
Pink Swirl tube by- http://www.bluegenie2.com/psp/tubes/t-shapes.html
1. Open a new image 300x300 pixels / BG color: Black /72 dpi.
Create a New Layer named: swirl.
2. Set vertical and horizontal guides to 150.
3. Click on the Tube button and choose the ball-pink swirl tube and choose these Settings /scale: 100 - step:146. Place cursor on the guides and click to place tube in the center.
4. Now go to Color/Colorize and use the settings shown to give it a nice metal look. Hue: 30 / Saturation: 30. You can adjust these to suit the look You want.
5. Create a New Layer and name it Flare. Go back to the Tubes button and choose the flare tube. Set the scale to: 200 - the step to: 139.
Click on the center of the new layer to place the image in the center.
6. Set the Flare layer's opacity to 50%

7. Zoom in on the image 3 times. Make sure the flare layer is selected and click on the lasso tool and choose the Settings / Point to Point / Feather 0 / Antialias checked.
8. Select the area as shown. When You have it selected hit the delete key.

9. Choose the Lasso tool again and keep the settings like before. Make sure the Flare Layer is still active.
Select the new area as shown and hit the delete key.

10. Run the opacity on the Flare Layer back to 100%. You might have to take the eraser tool and erase any of the Flare Layer You might have missed.

Go to Layers/Flatten/Merge All [flatten]
When you get all the leftovers erased it should look like the one below.

I hope this tutorial will give You some ideas. You can use these steps to blend images of all kind. Play around with it and show Me what You come up with.

Here is a button I made from it.

Here's a piece from an old splash page
I did awhile back using this technique.
