This is my very first tutorial and I am so excited and nervous to boot *S* I appreciate any and all comments and questions just send me an email. **

This tutorial is written in and for PSP Version 7 and assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP at an intermediate level.I am sure this can easily be done in Version 6 with a few adjustments in paths but I have only used Version 7 so I can't make promises *S*

You will need:

JASC's PSP (30 day free trial)- You can get it HERE
ULead's Art Texture - You can get the free version HERE
Sky and Lensflare masks - If you do not have these you can get them HERE
** Unzip to your PSP/Masks folder
A Graphic ~~ I used The Way Home by Jim Warren. Mr. Warren has graciously given me permission to use all of his works in my tutorials. You can view his other masterpieces at his website HERE.

Now that we have all of that out of the way ~~ let's get started:

Step 1:
Open your image in PSP and make a copy of it (Shift + D) We will be working on the copy but minimize the original image as we will be using it later.

Step 2:
Set your foreground color to a complimentary color from your graphic (I used #AEC1E9) and set your background color to white.

Step 3:
Add a new layer and flood fill with your color

Step 4:
Go to Masks --> Load from Disk --> sky and press open.

Step 5:
Go to Masks --> Delete ...you will get a message that asks "Would you like this mask merged into the current layer?" Answer yes. SAVE

Step 6:
Choose another color for your foreground color a pale yellow or white. I used #E7E6A9. Add a new layer and flood fill with this color.

Step 7:
Go to Masks --> Load from Disk --> lensflare and press open (**New note: If you would like to place the flare in another place besides the middle just use your mover tool to where you think it would look best)

Step 8:
Masks -->Delete and again answer yes to merging into current layer. SAVE

Looks kind of pretty doesn't it? Well let's dress it up a bit more and make a frame for our graphic.

Step 9:
Go to layers -->merge-->merge all flatten

Step 10:
Go to Image -->add borders Make sure symmetric is checked and enter 3 for the border size Click OK

Step 11:
Take your magic wand and select the white border -- you will get marching ants around the border.

Step 12:
Open your Ulead Art Texture plugin. Effects -->PlugIns-->Ulead-->Art Texture. Press edit and choose Pallet 5 (this is the gold one) Click OK and select one of the patterns and press OK (I used the top left one). You could also use a BladePro gold preset of your choice as well. Keep Selected.

Step 13:
Go to Selections -->Invert and add the following cutout (Effects-->3D-->Cutout) Use these selections ~~ Vertical and Horizontal Offset = 4; Opacity = 42; Blur = 41 Color Black **Make sure fill interior with color is UNchecked.

Step 14:
Reapply the cutout but change the Vertical and Horizontal Offsets to -4 (minus 4) leaving the opacity and blur the same. Deselect and SAVE

Step 15:
Remember I told you that we would be utilizing the original graphic? Well, now it's time *S* Change your foreground styles to patterns and choose the original graphic for your pattern. Add a new border and this time let's make the border size 15. With your magic wand select the border to get your marching ants and flood fill with your pattern. Keep selected.

Step 16:
Go to Effects -->Texture effects-->Blinds and enter the following: Width = 2; Opacity =39; Color Black; Horizontal and light from left/top both CHECKED. Keep selected.

Step 17:
Go to Effects -->Texture effects-->Mosaic-Glass and choose these settings. Symmetric checked with 56 as the number of columns and rows. Glass curvature =50; Edge curvature - 0; Grout width = 4; Grout opacity = 22 Keep selected.

Step 18:
Selections --> Invert and apply the same cutout as we did before. Using 4 as the vertical and horizontal offset and applying again with these offsets set to minus 4. Deselect and save.

Step 19:
Add one more border ~~ this time make the size 5. Get those marching ants moving around the border and apply the same gold selection from your Ulead Art Texture (or your BladePro preset that you used before). Keep Selected

Step 20:
Add a drop shadow. Effects-->3d-->Drop Shadow with these settings: Vertical and Horizontal = 3; Opacity = 48; Blur =15.5; Color - Black. Keep Selected.

Step 21:
Now we will add an inner bevel and we will be done **whew**. Go to Effects-->3D-->Inner Bevel I added the Frame Preset from Jasc.

I hope you enjoyed doing this tutorial and the outcome as much as I enjoyed writing it. Many thanks to the seasoned tutorial writers who have offered me guidance and encouragement.
